Tertiary health care refers to specialized, high-level medical care typically provided in a hospital setting. This kind of care is given to patients with severe or life-threatening illnesses or injuries. It usually involves advanced diagnostic support services and complex treatments managed by specialists. Speaking from my personal experience, this level of care often includes intensive care units, advanced surgeries or complex treatments like cancer management. It's essentially the most complex layer of our healthcare system.
